Watership Down: The Winter Adventure
Watership Down: The Winter Adventure is a charming picture book adaptation inspired by Richard Adams’s classic, retold for children by Diane Redmond. The story follows the rabbits of Watership Down during a harsh winter, exploring how they work together to find food and keep safe from the cold.
Maggie Kneen’s detailed and atmospheric illustrations bring the rabbits’ world vividly to life, making the story accessible and visually engaging for younger readers. The narrative highlights themes of teamwork, friendship, and survival, presented in a gentle and age-appropriate way.
This book is perfect for bedtime reading, classroom storytelling, or independent enjoyment by children who love animal adventures. It introduces younger audiences to the world of Watership Down without the darker themes of the original novel.
Suitable for readers aged 6–9 years (Lower Primary).
Does not contain LGBT content.
