Kisah-Kisah Jakarta Setelah Proklamasi

"Kisah-Kisah Jakarta Setelah Proklamasi" is a compelling anthology of historical short accounts and personal sketches by the legendary Indonesian journalist, Rosihan Anwar. The book offers a vivid, eyewitness perspective on the atmospheric, chaotic, and tense days in Jakarta immediately following the 1945 Declaration of Independence. Through a journalist's sharp eye, Anwar chronicles the social struggles, the raw spirit of the early republican fighters, inflation, and the political friction under Allied and Dutch presence, capturing the human side of Indonesia's struggle for sovereignty.
