Bizzy Bear: DIY Day

Grab a tape measure and get ready to build with Bizzy Bear: DIY Day, a highly interactive carpentry board book written and beautifully illustrated by the award-winning Benji Davies. Tailored perfectly for tool-loving toddlers and preschoolers, this robust volume features five chunky sliding mechanisms that invite young readers to drive the busy workshop project. Little hands can push, pull, and turn the tabs to help Bizzy Bear and his friends—Eric, Ralph, and Freddy—measure wooden planks, hammer iron nails, saw building boards, and brush on bright layers of paint. As the team works hard, kids discover a fun surprise ending showcasing exactly what special outdoor layout the animals have created together. Complete with bouncy, rhythmic rhyming verse and colorful, intricately detailed artwork, this book strengthens visual tracking, early technical vocabulary, and fine motor coordination. It serves as an excellent resource for preschool sensory corners, workshop/construction theme units, and active family reading routines.
